Economic Stakes : 2 to 5% of incorrectly entered addresses generate significant costs for all players in the postal supply chain.

Depending on the reason for the invalidity, the actions to be taken differ; this is why we classify invalid addresses with different status.

The status are the following :

INPUT_INVALID_NO_STREET_NUMBER	No street number
INPUT_INVALID_ADDRESS	Address not provided or clearly invalid
INPUT_INVALID_CITY	Town not specified or clearly invalid
INPUT_INVALID_COUNTRY	Country not specified or clearly invalid, or not recognized Expected: official name, local name, ISO 2 code, ISO 3 code
INPUT_INVALID_ZIPCODE	Postcode not provided or invalid with the city For France, 4-digit postcodes will have a 0 added in front → 4500 will become 04500
NO_RESULT_FOUND	No results found with a significant confidence level
NO_PRODUCT_VALIDATION	Validation not requested or not authorized for this request
MULTIPLE_RESULTS_FOUND	Several results found with confidence levels too similar to be distinguished
GENERIC	Generic error, unspecified
INTERNAL	Internal error, unspecified

Quick start on CDS

Go to the "Address Validation Provider" tab and enter the token that will be provided to you after contracting.

Then you can use immediately the service and also submit your addresses.

The term "invalid" is relative to the service provider and can refer to various issues such as incorrect formatting, misspellings, and other discrepancies.

When an address is invalid, "no suggestion found" is displayed.

Certified API : The API uses version 2 in multiple mode to simultaneously process sender and recipient addresses. Non-conformities are justified according to specific rejection types, ensuring total transparency of the validation process.
