Identify undeliverable addresses prior of shipping

Parcel shipping to a foreign country with an incorrectly entered delivery address has negative impacts on ecology and on costs. The shipper may be forced to pay a logistic round trip, but as well its customs taxes for an undeliverable and therefore an undelivered parcel.

Currently, a loader discovers that an address is undeliverable during the last mile, but he needs to know it in prior to avoid any unnecessary shipping.

An address can be invalid for several reasons, the most known are:

• Incomplete address: The street number, postal code or city are missing
• Unknown address: The address doesn’t match to any referenced place whether on official cadastral plans, geographic databases or even mapping systems
• Non-residential address: A post office box or a company without receiving service
• Address not accessible: The address exists but access is prohibited such as military areas, dangerous areas, etc.

Delivery address management by bulk processing with status assignment « valid » or « invalid » for each address. Addresses are qualified under the local and official standard (of country where the parcel is delivered).

• Valid status: The address is deliverable! this status includes addresses which are correctly written and addresses which could have been corrected through our tools
• Invalid status: The address is undeliverable! Despite our tools, the address doesn’t matched to an existing address in official local address repository, the most frequent reasons are linked to the lack of the street number or the name of the street.
